Product description
The VR12 is a 2-way compact multi-purpose loudspeaker, for both portable and permanent applications. Featuring the patented RBN601 pro-ribbon driver, the VR12 is ideal for applications where high output, high quality reinforcement is needed.
The VR12/90’s HF section contains the RBN601 with a 1000 W peak power input, enabling a 1:16 dynamic range with up to 90% less distortion from 1 kHz to beyond 20 kHz. It is mounted on a “revolvable” 90° x 40° wave-guide and projects with patented “Real-90” horizontal dispersion up to 20.000Hz.
Due to the “compression-less” principle of the pro-ribbon transducer technology, the system has a fully linear response at any SPL, for an intuitive 1:1 performance.
The accompanying 12” features a Neodymium 3” voice-coil motor structure, combining a wide frequency range and high output with low power compression and a lighter weight.
For full system performance, the VR12 needs to be driven by an ALC controller-amplifier, delivering maximum sound quality with increased headroom and utmost operation reliability and flexibility.
The Signal Integrity Sensing™ pre-wiring ensures complete cable/connector compensation between the VR12 and ALC, significantly increasing response accuracy, regardless of cable length and system impedance, with tight and accurate mid and bass response as result.
The asymmetrical enclosure design provides for very flexible mounting (ceiling, wall) and usage.
Typical applications for the VR12 include main system for theatre, A/V, PA applications, as well as high power stage monitoring. In applications where extended bass response is required, the VR12 can be combined with a pressure-bass or deep-sub system.
The VR12 is available with a 90° x 40° (VR12/90) or 60° x 30° (VR12/60) dispersion pattern; Both models come in standard version or “i” installation version, without handle, stand mount and tilt-point. Also, both models are available as “M” version, with mirrored asymmetric cabinet and baffle configuration, for symmetrical monitor pairing.
